I am a lawyer, mom, and entrepreneur.
My virtual law firm, Berkley Sweetapple Law PA, specializes in small business law. I have helped online business owners, including brands, influencers, web designers, graphic designers, interior designers, coaches, nutrition and fitness professionals, and photographers, get the peace of mind that comes with having a legally protected business.
I have an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and a law degree from Boston College Law School, but my biggest accomplishment is my five-year-old son, Tripp. I believe that life is too short to do something you don’t actually love, which is why my passion is helping women build and protect the online business of their dreams, so they can spend less time worrying, and more time living.

Hey there, I’m Jessica. As an intellectual property and contract attorney, I specialize in supporting creative entrepreneurs and protecting the innovations that drive their businesses forward. In my day-to-day, I’m engaged in trademark and copyright prosecution, contract drafting, contract negotiation, and helping clients develop strategic safeguards for business. My goal? To ensure your assets remain shielded from any potential infringement or legal pitfalls, empowering you to excel in the marketplace.
With a background in intellectual property litigation, I've developed a diverse skill set that allows me to address various legal challenges effectively. From navigating trademark and copyright disputes to handling trade secret matters, I've gained valuable experience in anticipating and resolving complex issues. Prior to practicing intellectual property law, I began my legal career in criminal defense. This experience taught me the importance of tenacity and strategic thinking in advocating for my clients' interests. I bring that same dedication to protecting your ideas and innovations, but now with a lot more passion. :)
Outside of my legal practice, I'm committed to contributing to my local legal community. Currently, I have the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Division and on the Membership Committee for the Vassar B. Carlton American Inn of Court. When I’m not working, I enjoy being active and traveling with my family.
